Working at Winn-Dixie, I wear many hats. As a bagger, I am responsible for the fetching and organizing of shopping carts and cleaning inside or outside of the store when needed. Each role required collaboration with coworkers to ensure the store ran smoothly.
Bagging groceries meant helping cashiers and speeding up the time it took for customers to pay and leave satisfied. Collecting carts required coordination to maintain availability for customers, especially during busy times.
Cleaning taught me the importance of maintaining a more presentable environment for shoppers and a more comfortable environment for my fellow coworkers. I learned to communicate effectively, adapt to others’ needs, and step in wherever help was needed.
